Mayr Pierce believes that because she is "of quiet, private spirit," the subject matter of her work "amazes" her. She says that "Angelwords" redefine her and give her joy. Her paintings never include a signature, "because they are WAY over [her] head creatively!" Her work has won many prizes and awards. While the work is very intimate and personal, she welcomes corporate pieces to hang in wonderful healing places. Most pieces hang in private collections. Each angel portrait is an original collage made of torn silk, torn paper, 23 K gold, cotton threads, silk ribbons, feathers and found items.
