Welcome to Five Rivers Arts Alliance!
Our new name, Five Rivers Arts Alliance, was chosen by the Board of Directors in the winter of 2006. Formerly known as Midcoast Reach, we chose our new name in an effort to define our growing region in an inclusive, fluid way. Five Rivers refer to the Kennebec, Androscoggin, Cathance, New Meadows and Sheepscot Rivers that encompass our area. We chose the symbol of flowing rivers to represent our goal of connecting arts, culture and community. Arts Alliance represents the network of people, organizations, municipalities and businesses that care about arts, culture and heritage. Five Rivers Arts Alliance is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that depends upon community support. Memberships, contributions, business sponsorships, foundation and government grants and event fees support our programs.
